Pokémon Festa has come just in time for the Chuseok holidays in Seoul, and the most popular part of the event is definitely the pop-up store that is set up in Lotte World Mall. The store will be open until September 26th.
Although I was expecting something quite extravagant, I was a little disappointed by the size of the store…it is underwhelmingly small. However, they do have some nice goods!
I arrived exactly at 10am and there were already people waiting in line. They let a lot of people into the store at once so it is quite an awkward and uncomfortable shopping experience.
The goods are quite expensive, and some of them are from collections that have been released in Japan for quite some time. If you have ever had the chance to go to the Pokémon centers in Japan, this will definitely not compare to that experience.
Because I unfortunately have to make practical choices when shopping, I only bought a pack of baby wipes. The best part of was the bag! If you spend 50,000 won or more they give you a special edition Pikachu bag that is very nice.
Outside of Lotte World Mall they also have a Pokémon Go area that is intended for photo Ops, it was definitely a nice touch!
Starting from tomorrow, the store will be selling the official Chuseok goods, which are definitely a must for a hardcore collector!
Event dates: September 14th – 26th
