Today I finally had the chance to visit the Love Live! Sunshine!! cafe in the Aniplus store in Seoul. This Aniplus location often has theme cafes and this is the latest edition. It has been on since July 5th and will be available until August 15th, so go soon!
I will admit, I don’t know much about Love Live! so I can’t really consider myself a fan, but the cafe looked so cute I just couldn’t resist going!
The theme of the cafe is “Aqours” which as I understand it, is the group that Love Live! Sunshine!! focuses on. All the imagery is very summery and beachy, so perfect for this kind of weather!
When you arrive at the store (details below) you encounter the girls in their full splendor, and you can also take a look at the menu.
There are 4 types of desserts and 4 types of drinks, along with two special birthday cakes. Depending on the week, there are 2 special items, and these are the ones available until the 15th. The items are a little pricey but it’s normal compared to other cafes in the area.
Although the space is small, it was jam packed with images of the members. They had music playing and they were also playing some sort of compilation movie on the screen.
I ordered the dessert “Kurosawa’s tea time” which was essentially a brownie with whipped cream for 6,500 won. The presentation was cute and it had rose petals! With every purchase they give you one special card.
I thought the portion was a little bit small for the price, but the atmosphere and presentation made it worth it.
Once you are done with your food you can head over to the goods section, where they have everything from posters, keychains, to towels and more!
Overall, the cafe was a really cute experience and I don’t regret going. Looking at the movie and the items it did make me want to give Love Live! more of a chance.
If you are in the area I would advise checking it out! Of course we will keep reporting on the next Aniplus cafe, which I am hoping will be Fate related.
